The Cadet March and Flag Raising Ceremony marks the start of the Moreton Bay Region Australia Day celebrations.  Cadet Units from the Air Force, Army and Navy open the ceremony by conducting a march along Irene Street, Redcliffe.

Following this is the raising of the Australian, Queensland, and Council flags.

A "Cadet of the Year" award will be presented to a cadet from each unit.

Road Closure:
From 7.00am to 8.30am

Irene Street, Redcliffe

Traffic controllers and diversions will be in place. Motorists are requested to exercise caution and observe road closures.

The closures are approved under Section 915 of the Local Government Act (1993) and Part 5, section 96 of the Transport Operations Road use Management Act (1995).

Food & Beverage:
Morning Tea will be provided following the ceremony.
