How did you come to call Redcliffe home? Tell Moreton Bay Regional Council and your story could be showcased as part of the upcoming Redcliffe Journeys exhibition at the Redcliffe Museum in April. Division 6 councillor Rae Frawley said residents had until Monday, February 15 to submit their story. “This exhibition will highlight the residents of Redcliffe through their individual journeys which has led them to live on the peninsula,” Cr Frawley said. “If you have an interesting or unusual tale about moving to Redcliffe then we want to hear from you. “You can also submit photographs and objects which help illustrate your journey." Division 5 councillor James Houghton said Redcliffe was home to many stories. “Since the 1800s Redcliffe’s population has grown to more than 55 000,” Cr Houghton said. “It's home to many people not only from across Australia, but more than a fifth of Redcliffe’s population were born overseas.” "This exhibition will give these residents a chance to tell their story - and to celebrate the rich and diverse community which calls Redcliffe home. Expression of Interest forms are available from the Redcliffe Museum and Redcliffe Library. For more information call 3883 1898 or visit www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au Views: 769 |
